My Saab 95 (Year 2000) recently ran out of petrol. I managed to get 10 or so litres and put it in the tank, but the car still wont start. Any ideas/view greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the suggestion, any idea on how to rectify the problem?
In fact... Running your car out of gas is really hard on your fuel injector... I bet that is what is wrong with it...And Saabs are kinda shitty... Bad support reviews and pricey to fix in America due to the cost of importing the parts... That's why I stick with Lexus

Would I have to change the whole fuel pump assembly on a 96 chevy blazer?
Someone at napa told me that I would have to variety everything that comes out of the fuel tank, not just the pump itself. I changed the pump on my 96 saab and I just replaced the pump without having to supplant everything. I also found on the internet the pump by itself so Im wondering if i buy that and replace it on the blazer if it would be bad for it or mess it up. Thanks for the help.
On a 96, you can do no more than the pump and pump sock. The entire unit has to come out to access it (as you probably already know), but you do not have to refund the entire module. Dont forget the inline filter as well.

1999 SAAB 9-3S Auto with CHECK ENGINE codes P0125, P0135, P0141?
134k.
Over the weekend not hanker after filling up the gas tank the check engine light went on. Had the codes read yesterday at Autozone...
P0125 - re:fuel coolant
P0135 - Os2 Sensor bank 1
P0141 - Os2 Sensor bank 1
Severe for me to believe both sensors in that bank happened to fail at the same time unless its electrical, something else possibly causing these codes?
I have been commuting a complete trip of 70 miles each day this week without issue but do not want to push it. Get regular oil changes, full artificial and keep maintenance up for the most part. I know a transmission flush was recommended last time I got oil changed.
Thoughts?
P0125- needs a thermostat
p0135 and p0141 are cognate to heated oxygen sensor circuit. look for blown fuse.

everytime i fill my fuel tank up within 10 minutes it is empty. what could be the cause of it?
by the way its a saab.
You should be competent to see 20-22 gallons spilling on the ground in 10 minutes. Take a look under the car, likely you have a hole in your gas tank, I uncertainty that much gas could flow out through the fuel line that fast.

Why won't my car start?
So here's the act on: my friend's car (a 1997, Saab 900, not turbo) is not starting. He has had a great deal of car trouble lately and had to return his battery just last month. So we know that it is not his battery that is giving us trouble. When he turns the key in the ignition the car sounds as if it is starting and even rumbles as if it's fair about there, and then doesn't go any farther. It seems to be coinciding with these cold weather spurts that we've been having up here in Maine as that tends to stumble on in the winter. Another instance that may occur when he attempts to start his car is that it does start but then turns itself off after a second or two. I was looking online at the alternator but it doesn't seem like that is it. I was also wondering if it could be a whit plug or something of that nature. Either way, I would love to hear some ideas from those experienced with cars before he spends the money to take it to a mechanic to get some report that I'm sure I could find online. So anything is appreciated! Thanks!
(He has also tried adding dry fuel to his gas tank which did not work and another thing that's name has slipped my be bothered at the moment. It's that fluid that you add to the gas tank when it's full and it prevents hard starts. And would you believe it, it didn't work!)
well you have to go to the mechanic and find out, that could be several things, unquestionably is your fuel pump and filter that your friend should get replaced.

how much are fuel tank straps for a 95 saab 900s? ?
i'm getting very fidgety with the local saab dealership. the parts guy is NEVER there when i call. i was given a quote from Midas...$76 per strap plus labor. does that seem too intoxicated?
Don't buy new part. I 've replaced the straps with inured to unit and it only costs $35 for both straps from the wrecking yard
You drive a Saab and use Midas to repair it. That's risible, and tragic.
People who take their Saab to general repair shops spend an average of %50 more to get their Saab fixed, Not to cite that they also get sub standard part on their Saab.
Haven't you heard independent specialized shops. If you were going to a good shop that only works on Saab, I bet they'll have the parts there or recollect where to get it cheap (try $35 for both).

94 saab 900s fuel tank ?
Where is the fuel tank located at in a 1994 saab 900s 4cly. Also is the tanks in these cars made of metal or waxy. If it is made of metal can the tank rush and get easily punctured? Thanks for your responses.
Only because nobody answered you yet-- I can give you my 10 yr old info. The tank should be under the back mats. Disclose the hatch remove the tire and the mats -there should be a large rubber disc the size of a saucer. Suspended in the mesial will be the fuel pump. In 1984 the fuel pump had 2 wires on it. The RED sleeved one was the GROUND.---got that? really backwards!!! The fuel drain got fuel from a can about the size of a coffee can. The coffee can was filled from the main tank by a windshield washer like pump. (guesstimate they had a problem going round corners) Any way the tank is steel. It never showed any signs of rust or being particularly low enough to get punctured.
Trust some of this is close enough to your design to help.

Time to stop up a while and smell the coffee ... although there's ... VHeadline.com
All at once to stop up a while and smell the coffee ... although there's quite another stench seeping over the border from Bogota these days ... and then some!
VHeadline columnist & publisher Roy S. Carson writes: Hold up there ... whoa ... let's not lose touch with truth! The Colombian government is at logger-heads with Venezuela over the alleged capture of THREE Swedish-made AT4 anti-tank guided missile launchers...
Rightwinger Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Velez and his brothers-in-arms in Washington D.C. are accepted nuts over the alleged discovery ... and they're trying to paint the sky red in the vain endeavor of somehow linking Venezuela and President Hugo Chavez to theoretically providing arms and ammunition to the Colombian rebels...
Okay, granted, there could possibly be a association to Venezuela inasmuch as the Swedes have said they sold AT4s to Venezuela in the 1980s -- covering a spell when Hugo Chavez was just 27 through until he was 37 and still rising through the ranks. In in point of fact the 1980s ended a whole TWO years before Chavez and his 2-i-C Francisco Arias Cardenas launched a failed coup d'etat against scrupulously corrupt Venezuelan President Carlos Andres Perez, under whose mandate (and that of Jaime Lusinchi which preceded it) it is much more no doubt through rampant corruption in the Armed Forces that military ordnance would have gone AWOL than anytime since 1999 (although that's NOT to say that today's Venezuelan military has, all of a rapid, become a choir of little angels either).
Oh goody, when it happens, I can m my XR6 in on a Ford Yank Tank, brown in colour and complete with wood-pit sides. How many more sleeps til that and more »
Otherwise, the typical North American consumer simply panics when his or her fuel tank first passes some iffy level (the first $100 fill-up sure and more »
